Drawing Success: Art of Drawers Welcomes First Franchisee at Ground Level

October marked a significant milestone for Art of Drawers as they proudly introduced their inaugural franchisee, Kim McBrayer, to the team. From Birmingham, AL, Kim is a seasoned business leader with nearly two decades of experience as the Owner/CEO of a thriving closet design and organizing company. Her dynamic go-getter attitude, coupled with a genuine passion for assisting others, aligns seamlessly with the values of Art of Drawers, making her an ideal addition to the team. To gain insights into the journey of this pioneering franchisee, we sat down with Kim and asked her a few questions – check out her responses below.

Q: What is your background, and what led you to franchising?

A: CEO of a custom closet and professional organizing firm since 2001. I watched Allan start his original franchise and create the success I wanted and believed I could achieve, but was unable to be a part of it then. When given a second chance to join him from the beginning of this franchise, I was not going to let it happen again. I know he has created a process that can be trusted and I believe it will guide me to great success.

Q: Why did you choose Art of Drawers, and how is Art of Drawers different?

A: From my friendship with Allan for twenty years, I have seen what he is capable of building. I wanted to be a part of this next chapter with him and the amazing team he has assembled. They are just GOOD people and lots of fun to be around, which confirmed for me this was the right place to be.

Q: Coming in at the ground level of a franchise like Art of Drawers, what are you most excited about?

A: I love seeing the potential and being a part of the foundation for a successful franchise. There is so much excitement from this team and it is contagious.

Q: Please explain your experience going through the franchise process with REP’M.

A: Some of the nicest people I have ever met and it was such a pleasure to get to know them all. They answered my questions, eased my concerns and helped me to make this critical decision for my future. They were thorough in their work and respectful to my needs.

Q: How has your training/onboarding experience been thus far with Art of Drawers?

A: Wonderful! The team has been very supportive and attentive to detail. They have made me feel like I’m one of the team and available to answer all my questions. Training was thorough and informative, not to mention enjoyable. They truly live out their core values and I cannot say how much I appreciate each person and their contribution to my success already.
